Early Learning Family Drop-In
Taking place right here at the South Cariboo Early Years Centre, our Early Learning Family Drop-In is a safe, unstructured place for children and their families to play with toys, socialize, take part in arts and crafts, stories, and make new friends. Parents can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where they can meet and network with other like-minded parents/caregivers. We have facilities for breast feeding in a quiet and comfortable area. Access to resources on infant and child development and South Cariboo Early Years programs/services is also available to parents. The Drop-In operates Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
A StrongStart Centre is a school-based, early learning parent participation program and provides a new gateway to lifelong learning. School District No. 27's (Cariboo-Chilcotin) StrongStart encourages problem-solving skills, self-esteem building practices, and the social skills that will help them successfully manage in school and lay a foundation for life-long learning.
During normal school operation, StrongStart happens Monday through Friday at 100 Mile Elementary, and on various days at other elementary schools in School District No. 27. Please see our Event Calendar or the following Event Listings for schools and times.
